The Mist
I just finished watching the movie "The Mist", a Stephen King horror film released in 2007. And holy crap; that was absolutely the best horror film I believe I have ever seen.
Rather than just being a gore fest like most horrors tend to be, this movie was instead focused on the emotional response of human beings. Touchy-feelie? Not at all. It still has the blood and gore, no doubt about that. Its' so much more though... as the credits begin to roll, you feel anguish, sorrow and perhaps even guilt. There are very few movies I've had emotional response to as the credits roll, but this is certainly one of them.
Massive kudos to Frank Darabont and Stephen King for this one. A beatiful film.
