Willkommen in die Schweiz

Well, I've made it. I'm now an official resident in Switzerland. Hurrah!

I had some oddities to get to this point, such as having to take a train from Zürich to Stuttgart to pick up my entry visa, only to return from whence I came hours later. We love bureaucracy though, right?

I've even managed to find myself a new apartment already. It's located in the Seefeld community of Zürich, and is only about 100 meters from Lake Zürich! I look forward to moving in there at the beginning of October, but until then I'll remain in my glorified hotel room apartment in Kloten.

I did get a chance to go to my first Zürich city event: Street Parade. Street Parade is an annual techno / house music festival which essentially takes over the entire city for a day, and consists of much food, alcohol, dancing, costumes and of course music! A fantastic thing, I must say.
